Abstract
The report discusses the discriminatory practices and systemic barriers faced by minority groups, particularly Muslims and Bengali Hindus, in the process of determining citizenship in Assam, India. It underlines institutional abuses, lack of access to justice, and social and economic marginalisation resulting from the implementation of the National Register of Citizens and the proceedings before the Foreigners' Tribunals.
