    Abstract

Shortage of teaching time for the statistics element of the BSc Physiotherapy course at the Queen's College, Glasgow, and its unfavourable reception by students, led to the development of a newly‐structured course based on the students' use of a self‐study workbook and a test to evaluate the effectiveness of this approach for the teaching of correlation and regression.
