Systematic review of economic evaluations in primary eye care

Research output: Contribution to conferencePaperpeer-review

Demand for hospital eye care services is increasing due to an aging population and advancing technology in the treatment of eye disease. To ease the burden on secondary care services, primary eye care providers are undertaking a greater role in community disease management.
Using an economic approach can help allocate the resources in such a way as to
bring maximum benefit to the investment. This project aimed to use a systematic
review to assess the extent and quality of evidence for the efficiency of primary eye
care services in high-income countries.
