Abstract

This project involved the development of sustainable development indicators under the Scottish Executive’s WET (waste, energy, travel) strategy and the engagement of a wide variety of stakeholders who are interested in, or impacted by sustainable development initiatives at both policy and ground level. The indicator suite suggested formed the basis for communications with the various groups who would be charged with developing and meeting targets to bring about a smart, sustainable Scotland.
