Abstract
Measuring patient outcomes is vital when ensuring that we deliver high-quality healthcare. Arthroplasty, as a speciality, is blessed with the ability to collect comparatively large and consistent data to help this process, and various tools exist for this purpose. Outcome assessment can be clinician-reported or directly patient-reported. Both are of paramount importance and form the ‘yin and yang’ of patient outcome assessment.
