Abstract

Translated abstract: Categories of diversity can lead to discrimination and social exclusion. The analysis of the characteristics of otherness also requires addressing inequalities. In the first volume of the series "participation and diversity" such phenomena are discussed interdisciplinary example of migration and disability. In this case, reference is inter alia made to the conceptual discussion on the multi-layer interfaces identities. The book accompanying the film "There is here," which has been produced at the University of Geneva and rotated in the Foundation Arkady, illustrates the book chapters with insights into the daily lives of three people with an immigrant background and disability.
