Abstract

Councils need to develop more innovative priority-setting to help protect disadvantaged and vulnerable groups. This study explores five Scottish local authorities’ decision-making about budget cuts due to austerity measures, and identifies current practice in protecting the most vulnerable and disadvantaged.
