Abstract

This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Intervention). The objectives are as follows:

To identify the effects and assess the effectiveness of interventions to reduce sedentary behaviour (total sedentary time and the pattern of accumulation of sedentary time) in older adults.

To summarise the effects of interventions to reduce sedentary behaviour on quality of life, depression, and health status in older adults.

To summarise any evidence on the cost-effectiveness of interventions that reduce sedentary behaviour in older adults.
