    Abstract

Digital technologies enable indoor location management for determining and tracking the position of a person through various sensing mechanisms. This emerging area has a wide range of applications in the service industry to improve business processes. Location management is aided by the proliferation of mobile devices which open many exciting possibilities with their rich sensor set. We present a case study based on tracking the Wi-Fi signals from a mobile device for location management and discuss how the results can be applied in improving services in emerging application areas.
