    Abstract

Health delivery systems, involving patients, physicians, health service providers, medication suppliers, medicare, and policies, etc., are a typical complex distributed systems problem. This paper analyses the characteristics of health delivery systems, reviews common coordination mechanisms, and proposes the synergization of multi-agent systems to tackle the complexities of health delivery systems.
