    Abstract

    This article outlines research undertaken with the aim of developing and improving the first year experience of students progressing from HNDs (completed at FE
    establishments) onto a third year direct entry programme entitled BA(Honours)
    Management, Technology & Enterprise, at Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU). The
    research has been carried out as part of a Greater Glasgow Articulation Partnership
    (GGAP) funded project, involving members of staff from GCU and representatives from 8 partnering colleges.
