Abstract

A great variety of pest types are potentially infesting hospitals including rodents, cockroaches, mosquitoes, flies, ants, termites, fleas, lice, mites and rats. Pest control has an important role as part of the facility risk management plan in reducing the risks of infection in the healthcare settings. This chapter focuses on the most common pest infestations and their relevant control measures.
