Abstract
Internationally there is a lack of systematic and comprehensive information on student placement provision for physiotherapists, with each education provider collecting differing information. This disparity results in a lack of consistency in describing placements, making it difficult to determine capacity, and the profile of student clinical experiences. This lack of standardised terminology hampers international student mobility and hinders the mapping of student placement education to future workforce requirements and employment opportunities.
