Translated title of the contribution: Cultural aspects of discrimination considered within some international human rights instruments

Research output: Book/ReportBook

Abstract

This small volume provides an overview of Mexican Anti-discrimination legislation, followed by a socio-legal analysis of discrimination as a multidimensional problem where culture is both source and byproduct of discriminatory practices and behaviors. The objective of this volume is twofold. First, to demonstrate the concern that, over more than 30 decades, the international community has manifested in relation to the cultural aspects of discrimination; and second, to propose specific ways to challenge and redress the various manifestations of discrimination at a cultural level.
