In Surviving Domestic Violence: Gender, Poverty and Agency, Paula Wilcox explores the constraints of gender, domestic violence and poverty in women's lives. The book is structured so that each chapter identifies a ‘key social dimension’: power, emotion, children, home, economic, informal support and community, which are then analysed in relation to women's agency and resistance.
