Abstract

This research comment for the quarterly journal of The Poverty Alliance reflects on some of the quality that is evident in the lives of children growing up in deprivation and poverty. It draws on the childhood experiences of Gordon Strachan (Muirhouse, Edinburgh), as reported in his autobiography.
