Abstract

Assist FM tasked us to review the evidence base to better understand the realities and trends pertaining to the uptake of free school meals (FSMs) in Scotland. We drew from Assist FM’s research and evaluation work, undertook a rapid review of key literature, and completed observational field case studies of the out of school food environment for ten schools in west central Scotland.
