    Abstract

This paper presents an in-depth study on holonic self-organization of multi-agent systems. Specifically, a feedback-control framework has been put forward for self-organization of MAS for both the approaches without and with a priori organizational forms; furthermore, a completely new formulation of holonification comprised of binding and spawning has been put forward for holonic self-organization of MAS. In addition, software environment for realizing holonic multi-agent systems is preliminarily discussed.
