Abstract

The rapid development of mobile and wireless communication technologies requires that wireless devices should support voice, video, and data communications and should flexibly access IP based core networks. This paper proposes a new wireless module architecture for the next generation wireless networks and discusses its access methods based on access bridge point. In addition, the protocols for accessing IP based core networks are discussed for the proposed access network architecture.
