20 Minute Golf Tune-Up: Range Practice

Research output: Book/ReportBook

Abstract

Part of the ‘20 Minute Golf Tune-Up’ series, this book is designed to get golfers practising more effectively on the range, before taking those improvements onto the course and into competition.

Many golfers practise poorly on the range/putting green. Fact. They whack a bucket of balls for an hour but then report that their newly-honed skills do not transfer to the course. In this 20 Minute Tune-Up, we shall explore how to practise with a plan, with purpose and a positive mindset, the value of mixing things up, and more. We will cover particular scenarios that players experience, including what to do when:

…you never seem to be able to play as well on the course as you do on the range
…sometimes, you cannot seem to hit a thing and, at other times, it just flows perfectly
…you hit hundreds of balls on the range but never seem to get much better
…you slip into bad practice habits on the range
