Project Details
Description
The Yunus Centre will provide expert technical support and guidance on health economics to Public Health Scotland (PHS), specifically to the Public Health Sciences team in PHS. The Public Health Sciences team leads on a range of evaluation and research projects across a wide array of topics related to public health and health inequalities. The contract will cover ad-hoc advice and support on a range of issues related to this work, and is likely to include technical guidance on study design, economic approaches and methods, and interpretation of findings to inform policy and practice.
The contract has been costed on the basis of 11 days input in the first instance, with half the input (5.5 days) being provided by Yunus Centre staff at Professorial level and half (5.5 days) by Yunus Centre staff at Band 7 Researcher level. Activity will be undertaken up to that limit and PHS invoiced on the basis of the work carried out. If and when the ceiling is reached, the contract would either be extended by mutual agreement or terminated.
The contract is initially for a 6-month period and will be reviewed by both parties at that stage.
