GCU's Department of Psychology and SAMH have worked together to develop the 'Time for You' project, a 12-month pilot intervention aimed at supporting frontline workers' mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic. GCU's role in the project will be to facilitate Applied Psychology Doctorate Framework Counselling, Health and Sport & Exercise Psychology trainees to deliver some of the support on the programme as part of their placements. The funding being allocated to GCU is to cover the cost of the research and evaluation of the intervention.
