Project Details
Description
We will rapidly update the following two indicators:
A) Framework indicator #3.3a: first time presentation with advanced liver disease among people diagnosed with chronic HCV in Scotland.
B) Framework indicator #3.3b: chronic HCV status at first presentation with advanced liver disease among people diagnosed with chronic HCV in Scotland.
Both indicators will be updated with data through to July 2021. We will publish the data on the data portal and present the results to key stakeholder groups (i.e. HCV elimination network and HCV clinical leads network). Further, we will investigate potential mediators that may have undermined progress since the onset of the pandemic. In particular: a) trends in alcohol-related hospital admissions among patients with HCV, and b) trends in number of outpatient appointments attended in relation to HCC screening.
