Description
This request is in support of a new research project with the aim to reduce the
impact of blindness and visual impairment on the lives in people experiencing
homelessness. The project is aligned with the strategy of the Thomas Pocklington Trust
(TPT), specifically ‘Facilitating the voice and encouraging self-determination of blind and
partially sighted people.’ We are preparing the main funding application for submission to the
RS MacDonald Charitable Trust and are approaching the TPT to enquire whether the Trust
would consider supporting our project through co-funding one or two smaller elements of this
project.
For example, the project will involve people experiencing homelessness and we would like to
reimburse research participants for their time (1 hour per participant) and possible travel
costs. Please note that we are not looking for full project funding from the TPT, but a small
contribution to the overall funding. To support our enquiry, we are providing further
information below. We would be delighted if this co-funding request were of interest to the
