The project provides critical knowledge and coordination in marketing and the use of social media to support a strategy of joint working and effective delivery of consumer facing services for the Scottish Heritage sector. It will require the combined, effective interaction of all of the major heritage organisations; Historic Environment Scotland, National Trust for Scotland and Historic Houses Association with the Scottish Tourism Alliance to support new market facing activities across all of these organisations in anticipation of the Scottish Year of history, Heritage and Archaeology in 2017.
