Human Colonic Cell Line Testing - Faecal Microbiota Transplantation

Project Details

Description

Faecal Microbiota Transplantation is an exciting novel therapy for Clostridium difficile associated disease and inflammatory bowel disorders. EnteroBiotix have developed protocols for FMT inoculum collection, storage, and patient delivery. However, the impact of these procedures on the host inflammatory response and disease resolution is unknown. This project will measure the inflammatory response of human colonic cells to inoculum produced by two different processes.
