Healthcare Built Environment Doctoral Academy: PhD Studentships

Project Details

Description

The combined total of PhD studentships proposed by these two NHS Scotland Units will be 4; in anticipation of leveraging 2 funded by GCU. This will form the basis of a small Doctoral research cluster, which we propose to title the ‘Healthcare Built Environment Doctoral Academy’. Our long-term plan is for this Doctoral Academy to sit under a wider Healthcare Built Environment Academy, as described in the BEAM Centre Research Plan as part of the SCEBE Research objective within the School Strategic Plan for 2024-2027. Prof Hare, Prof Emmanuel and Dr Tong are proposed to manage the Academy, with the cost offset by 0.6 of each PhD student's time spent co-located at NHS offices, which will reduce estates costs, and all travel/consumables covered separately by NHS
