Project Details
Description
This feasibility study will consider a proposed District Heating Scheme for the EnergyFields project, in Wishaw (which has outline planning for 4 new-build plots of about 250 homes each). The project involves energy systems linked to renewable heat sources. The Energy Systems Research Unit (ESRU), at the University of Strathclyde, has developed an integrated dynamic energy systems application (ESP-r) which, when adapted and combined with their wider expertise, could be used to model the interactions between the users, buildings, heat distribution system, heat pumps, and closed-loop heat boreholes.
