Project Details

Description

Scottish ClubSport is a national partner of sportscotland and is the umbrella organisation for Local Sports Councils and ClubSport networks across Scotland. It is a publicly funded membership organisation. Its mission is to support sports clubs and networks in their delivery of sport and physical activity services across Scotland.
Against the backdrop of a challenging funding environment putting at risk the survival and delivery of sport and physical activity services, especially post-covid, Scottish ClubSport sees an urgent need to renew its strategy of supporting its members.
Currently it surveys its members regularly to monitor the effectiveness of its activities. It seeks to strengthen its effectiveness by increasing membership and establishing meaningful and durable communication links with all relevant stakeholders (Scottish Government, Local Authorities, sportscotland, Scottish ClubSport members and volunteers), working collectively towards the goal of protecting the provision of sport and physical activity services.
To achieve its objectives Scottish ClubSport will team up with members of the Sport and Physical Activity Research Group (SPARG) to develop applied research methodologies to identify relevant issues and promote collaborative working between all relevant stakeholders.
