Project Details
Description
The proposal is to evaluate 21 detached 2 storey homes at Dargavel Village, Bishopton.
The project will focus around OSM Product (shell completion) and Site Process adherence (home completion).
It will undertake detailed assessment of the OSM and site product/process versus conventional build methods and completion processes.
The project will undertake detailed commercial, technical, safety, quality, construction, risk, labour, material and productivity assessments, though detailed desk top studies and actual physical measurement on site and in the factory.
The project will present an unbiased factual final report, comparing the pros and cons of the new systems used, to support the business case to change (or not).
The project will make recommendations on existing improvements to current methods and/or recommendations on the benefits of a move towards a more advanced OSM construction and process delivery.
A fulltime student researcher will be on site for 12 months undertaking measurement studies.
