Description
Through the establishment of practitioner-led Communities of Practice, to support the aims and ambitions of the Scottish Government's place-based social justice programme to tackle child poverty, improve people's wellbeing and support public services to become more preventative and person-centred. SPIRU, drawing on its existing networks, relationships and expertise and knowledge of child poverty in Scotland will:
• Work with delivery-focussed practitioners in the public and third sector to agree and establish thematic Communities of Practice to support shared learning and collaboration on place-based approaches to tackling child poverty and support public service reform
• Organise and facilitate community of practice groups, including provision of administrative support;
• To support individual Community of Practice groups outputs and an overview report which captures and assesses 'Community of Practice' as a learning and collaboration tool.
• Engage with SG policy colleagues to identify opportunities to support and learn from the communities of practice with a view to supporting better implementation and improved outcomes.
• Draw together all communities of practice discussions and outputs to ensure appropriate links and connections are made between and across groups, as well as into broader policy and practice.
• Support production of individual Community of Practice groups outputs and produce, from the learning, tools, guidance and toolkits that can support collaboration and learning beyond the groups.
• Support the planning and facilitate elements of the Place Based Social Justice team's annual National Learning event, where there are opportunities to share learning from the Communities of Practice work or bring issues to a wider group of practitioners/stakeholders.
