Project Details
Description
Given my experience in tear fluid biomarkers, I have been invited to be a speaker at the prestigious Proteins and Peptides 2025 conference in Geneva in July 20205 (https://proteins-peptides.org/). The organisers will cover the cost of accommodation and registration, but not travel or subsistence. Therefore, this funding will be used to pay for return flights to Geneva, connecting buses and subsistence for the 5 days I am there.
By giving this talk, I hope to raise the profile of my reseacrch, as well as that of Vision scineces research at GCU and of the Tear Research Network, of which I am an active committee member. As a group, we have already published a scoping review paper https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/39954936/), with another in press. By attending the conference, I aim to learn more of the current proteomic research taking place in vision sciences globally, as well as meeting and discussing future collaborations with colleagues in the proteomics field.
