Project Details

Description

The core motivation of our project is in the willingness to contribute to transform today's VET students into tomorrow's aware
citizens, workers or entrepreneurs able to give a crucial input to the transition of European businesses toward a widespread
Circular Economy.
Acknowledging that the circular economy is a key component of the EU Green Deal and much needs to be done at every
level, the project is an expression of the partners’ mission and their willingness to act as enablers of innovation in order to
promote the circular economy principles and practices, contributing to increasing the labour market relevance of VET,
creating an accessible, inclusive teaching and learning environment with special attention to: the use of new digital learning
tools, the link with the business sector and networking.
“CIRCLE2: VET and SMEs on the road to CE” originates from the established CIRCLE project where the partners worked
effectively to deliver a substantial amount of learning material across three key employment sectors - tourism, transport,
agriculture - from a theoretical point of view. Specific motivations for CIRCLE2 come from CIRCLE testing results and its
analysis, which showed specific trainers and students' requests to learn more about circular economy, their will to look at its
principles from a practical labour market perspective, and their desire to become actors of change.
Coherently with the need analysis conducted during the implementation of CIRCLE, we want to valorise the project results,
its participants feedback, and the wealth of knowledge on the circular economy context that has been gained.
In essence, we’re going to do the following:
- Enhance the existing resources, adding interactivity and provide specific innovative media resources aimed at VET
students.
- Provide supporting tools that focus on the development of skills and competences of the VET students and in particular
their relationship with employers and the labour market.
- Extend the exploitation of ICT through the existing open education resources already provided.
- To lay the basis for an online widespread network on CE.
On the basis of a comprehensive strategy for project management, cooperation, promotion and sharing, we want to raise
awareness of environmentally-sustainable practices in the transport, tourism and agriculture sectors for students in VET. We
want to equip students with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to implement these practices in their fields. We
want to implement valuable training material, tell punctual and analytical real-life stories, create a model for teachers to work
on, reinforce the connection between education and the labour market engaging students in an exciting educational journey.
Erasmus+ funding will allow us to turn our goals into results.
