Capacity Building in Collaborative Research towards Additively-Manufactured Electric Scooter for Addressing Sustainability Challenges in India and UK

Project Details

Description

The main goals of this project are to
• Design and development of an electric scooter prototype with a compact 3D printed electric motor and suitably modified chassis structure through additive manufacturing techniques specific to the Indian market. Furthermore this project includes the integration of novel intelligent controller and fast charging system to suit the smart city requirements in India.
• Inculcate the research based learning experience for engineering students in India by the development of an economically affordable electric scooter through the knowledge exchange with leading UK Universities and Industrial partners on both research and teaching.
• Impart knowledge sharing from this project outcome with the engineering colleges, industries and research institutes in India through hub and spoke distribution model.
