Description
ABC Creative Music aim to collaborate with GCU on a programme of research as part of the project: “Youth Music Initiative: Strengthening Youth Music”. The aim of the project is to:
1. develop a new online music assessment module for non-specialist primary, early years, ASN class teachers and informal sector adults (learning support, parents, home educators, childminders) based around video and social media sharing;
2. develop and pilot resources to teach numeracy and literacy through music for classroom teachers in nursery and primary and a range of other groups such as learning support staff, parents & carers, home educators, and childminders;
3. conduct an academic impact evaluation of music creativity resources including those developed as part of this project;
4. share the results through a mini-conference, report publication & distribution, and free education resources to targeted schools, parents and nurseries.
