Description
"A mixed method approach comprising
1. Self-evaluation questionnaire
a) GCU to develop this new shorter, self-evaluation questionnaires around five topics: Individual Director’s Roles & Responsibilities; Board’s collective Roles & Responsibilities; Board processes e.g. regular meetings; Internal & External Environment; and Individual Director’s knowledge, skills and experience, including Committee competences
b) GCU to develop a new, shorter questionnaire to be completed annually by Directors, CEO and Secretary (administered internally)
c) Glasgow Caledonian University to adapt this new, shorter questionnaire and issue triennially to Directors, Senior Managers (administered externally)
d) Glasgow Caledonian University in collaboration with Scotmid’s stakeholders to develop a set of 5-10 KPIs around these five topics.
2. 1:1 interviews
a) 1:1 interviews to be held every third year with each director, President, CEO, and Society Secretary around the five themes.
b) Case study. Glasgow Caledonian University to develop a case study based on one previously prepared by Scotmid for its AGM.
3. Observation
The consultant(s) to attend, observe and record events at a number of Board and Committee meetings over spring/summer 2024
4. Focus group
A random sample of the firm’s key stakeholders to complete a short questionnaire on the Board’s prior to participating in a focus group "
