My line of research inquiry predominantly revolves around how strategic  internaional business decisions are shaped by managerial congitions and insitutions. I mainly use regulatory focus theory, behavioral theory of the firm, and institions to explain important international strategic decisions. Also, my research interestes include, international business, mergers and acquisitions, CEO cognition, sustainability, insitutions and emerging markets.

My research philosophy and the progress of the work: I see research is an important way to improve thinking, application, and quality of life. It serves my appetite for learning and solving important problems. Following my penchant for research and obtaining a doctoral degree, I joined as a doctoral student in July 2015 at IIM Indore (a triple-crown accredited business school), India and completed my Ph.D. in March 2020. In my thesis, I explain how CEO’s prevention focus, which is a psychological attribute that motivates individuals, to pursue safer routes to reach goals impacts the risk-mitigating choices in mergers and acquisitions by public firms in the United Kingdom. I establish that the prevention focus motivates CEOs to mitigate the risks in mergers and acquisitions by adopting vigilant means. Further, my work appeared in reputed international journals such as Journal of International Management (ABS-3 and ABDC-A category journal), Applied Economics (ABDC-A category journal), and so on. I am also an ad-hoc reviewer of Journal of Business Research, Journal of International Management, and Asia-pacific Journal of Management. 

I presented several works in the most reputed international conferences such as annual conferences of Academy of Intentaional Business (AIB) and Strategic Management Society (SMS). My work was also selected for the presentation at Academy of Management (AOM) annual conference in 2018. I received the best paper award for my work titeld “Earnouts in Acquisitions: The Impact of CEO’s Prevention Focus”, presented at 21st Annual Convention of Strategic Management Forum, Indian Institute of Management Lucknow, Lucknow, December 27-29, 2019.
