Dr Rebecca Johnson is an academic psychologist and Lecturer in the Department of Psychology. She holds a BSc Psychology Degree and MSc in Advanced Psychological Research Methods from The University of Strathclyde. As well as a PhD in Psychology from Glasgow Caledonian University.
Rebecca’s research interests are situated within Social and Developmental psychology, with a particular interest in children and young people’s mental health and their experiences of mental health stigma. She is an expert in the application of participatory and creative research methods, with a focus on uplifting lesser heard voices through research. While her approaches are mixed methods, Rebecca is particularly comfortable with in-depth qualitative research methods. Her newer avenues of research interest include exploring young people’s experiences of being raised in a military family and the impact of dual stigma.
