My research falls mainly within the positive psychology domain with a particular emphasis on enhancing human performance in achievement settings (e.g., sport, education, business). I am especially interested in understanding how positive emotions influence motivation and attention in sport performers. My colleagues and I examine challenge and threat motivation in sport performers from a social and biological psychology perspective. I also explore sport psychologists' experiences, perceptions toward sport psychologists, and sport psychologists' effectiveness. Finally, I am currently exploring issues related to embodied cognition which is the notion that the mind is not only connected to the body but that the body influences the mind.
