Learning, Teaching and quality advisor and Senior lecturer: Academic leadership supportive of and accountable to the Head of Department and works with the Associate Dean (Learning, Teaching & Quality). Actively engaged in enhancing the student experience through leadership in learning and teaching, assisting in the implementation of quality assurance and enhancement processes within the Department and responsible for ensuring open communication with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and NHS Nurse education Scotland. Leads department in programme and module approval and change. Previous Programme leader for PgD Advanced Practice District nursing programme from 2016-2020. Through collaboration and reengagement with practice partners in different localities within Scotland including Inverclyde, NHS Highland and NHS Forth Valley the Student intake increased from 15 to 38 in 2018, and presented a paper to the school board to request the addition of a January cohort, further increasing numbers to 60 (an increase of £210,000 generated). Good succession planning with the new Programme leader has allowed these excellent relationships to continue and sustain healthy student numbers. Assists with International summer school Assists Business manager Facilitates teaching experiences for clinicians/ people interested in HEI opportunities promoting new talent and succession planning. Supervision of Post graduate certificate Nurse teacher students Supervision of Masters and Honours dissertation students. Recent experience of leading a University and NMC approval process with 9 commendations and 1 recommendation. Recent experience of leading University ELISR process within the department, highlighting several commendations and 2 considerations. Buddy new programme leaders, share both explicit and tacit knowledge, promoting good succession planning and sustainability of staff within the department.
