Dr Elaine Duncan is a Senior Lecturer in Psychology, a Chartered Scientist, Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (BPS), and an HCPC registered practitioner of Sport and Exercise Psychology. Elaine has extensive experience in public engagement and third sector partnership working. She seeks opportunities to disseminate her expertise at the community, grass roots level, particularly in matters of mental health and wellbeing where the promotion of active lives is an investment in human capital. Her research interests include the wellbeing of solid organ recipients, secondary stroke prevention, promoting mindful movement and active lives, as well as therapeutic writing to aid recovery from athletic injury. She is also the director of SOMA Wellbeing where she offers one-to-one counselling, yoga classes and yoga therapy.
In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. This person’s work contributes towards the following SDG(s):
