Research interests

Chioma has many years of industry experience in Investment banking, Capital Market and consultancy before undertaking a PhD in Economics at the University of Glasgow. With many experiences training central bankers and academics on Financial Stability, Risk Management, Econometrics and Financial Modelling, her core areas of competence include Monetary Economics and Econometrics, Financial Economics, Financial Data Analysis, Quantitative Risk Modelling, Equity Analysis, Corporate Finance, Banking and Financial Services.

She has very strong skills in Quantitative Techniques using Eviews, Gretl, JMulti, Mathlab STATA and SPSS. Chioma has led a number of projects, including Research for and Training for Central Bankers in collaboration with the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, University of North Carolina, and Centre for Africa Policy Research and Development Scotland. She is  a Licensed Broker/Dealer, Licensed Financial Analyst, Licensed Quantitative Analyst and a Certified Capital Market Registrar. She is a Member of Royal Economics Society London.

Her principal research interests lie in the fields of financial economics, quantitative finance, income inequality and poverty, banking and financial services and corporate finance. I am also interested in macroeconomic policies, asset prices, financial derivatives, financial and risk modelling.
