Allison is a Senior Lecturer (Assistant Professor) with GCU London.

Serving as team leader on the United Nations Policy Netwok on Artificial Intelligence and the Global Digital Compact Team with the Internet Safety, Security and Standards Coalition (IS3C) (Allison presented at the UN on 0/3Feb/2023); Allison’s teams report to the United Nations (UN) Internet Governance Forum (IGF). As a member of the UN IGF best practice forum (BPF) on cyber security and a national expert member with the British Standards Institute / International Standards Organization TC291 Societal Security Management SSM/001 Allison's research aligns with UN SDG 16 and SDG 17.

Allison is interested in supervising PhD research with experienced practitioners and new-hires in cyber security: AI, Ethics, Standards and Governance, Trust and Zero Trust, aligned with the UN Global Digital Compact the United Nations (UN) Internet Governance Forum (IGF) and UN SDG 16 Peace Justice and Strong Institutions.

Allison's DBA students (UWS London) focus on understanding trust in topics including business leadership in Morocco and E-Governance in the UK. Allison's MBA students have received prizes including the Market2Win prize for International Marketing Strategy at GCU London and the DSV Panalpina award for the best dissertation at Cardiff University Business School. Allison also holds posts with Cardiff University, Warwick University and the University of Karachi, Pakistan, where she is an external PhD examiner.
