Research interests

Alejandro is a determined multidisciplinary researcher who feels passionate for Nature and takes joy in learning. His research interests focus on plant-soil-atmosphere interactions, soil bioengineering, eco-hydrology, Nature-based Solutions against natural hazards, sustaianble farming, and the development of simple numerical tools to answer complex environmental questions.  

Alejandro is a Research Fellow in Applied Ecology and Nature-based Solutions at the BEAM Research Centre. He also teaches in Water Resource Management, GIS, and Soil Mechanics. Alejandro has a comprehensive undersanding of environmental issues and has a diverse technical skillset. He has collaborated in several multidisciplinary, international projects, and he enjoys editing and reviewing for high-rank scienctific journals.

  • Eruopean MSc Applied Ecology - Universties of Kiel (Germany), Coimbra (Portugal), Poitiers (France), and East Anglia (UK)
  • BEng Agricultrual Engineering (Mixed Farming) - University of Salamanca (Spain)
