Tweets in the street: how to tag the elusive sparrow

This short article reports on my project on House Sparrows in Glasgow. This involves catching and colour ringing these elusive birds in Glasgow. This collaborative study and conservation project also includes the University of Glasgow, RSPB and BTO. The project promotes Citizen Science by encouraging the people of Glasgow not only to contribute to the conservation of this declining species but also to do their bit for science by taking part in surveys and to look out for ringed individuals in their own gardens around the city. Public engagement events include STEMfest, Garden Garden Wildlife festival and walks explaining the science behind the project.
