The Cross-Party Group on Culture is chaired by Jean Urquhart (Highlands and Islands) (Ind) and Joan McAlpine (South Scotland) (SNP), and seeks to provide: another forum to discuss cultural matters and ideas (meeting quarterly) something different from other CPGs, by making use of the talent in the sector to put on engaging performances and guest speakers an opportunity for stimulating discussion about ideas as well as processes/artforms a platform for further and wider learning (making use of social media and podcasting) a showcase for the arts in Parliament
