Overall aim and expected outcomes
The project aims to develop a report and a toolkit of good practice and guidance for creating impactful short-term programmes which will result in more students studying, working or volunteering abroad.
The project will provide an expanded evidence base on the importance and impact of short-term mobility. It is expected to achieve the following outcomes:
1. Encouraging more students to participate in outward mobility opportunities, particularly less advantaged learners who may be unable or unwilling to participate in longer-term programmes.
2. Providing universities with guidance and practical support to implement effective short-term programmes.
3. Providing evidence of the impact of short-term mobility opportunities across the UK, to encourage institutional, and national level support of short-term mobility programmes.
