Research interests

I am an exercise physiologist working with older people and professionals working with older people. in particular I am interested in falls prevention but also in other syndromes and conditions of ageing. Motivation to exercise and adherence to physical activity mean the difference between interventions working or not, so many of my research interests lie around how to motivate older people to exercise in the face of fear or barriers. Much of my research is based around complex interventions and the need not to over burden participants.
